The National Testing Service (NTS) is a statutory body under the Department of Education, directorate of education. It was established by the Pakistan Federal Education Act No. 3 of 1994, and is responsible for conducting national testing of students in all schools and colleges throughout Pakistan.
It operates through a network of over 200 test centers in all major cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Rawalpindi. The NTS has also set up test centers in rural areas to cater to local needs.
The NTS is authorized to conduct examinations for both national as well as international subjects such as English language proficiency, mathematics proficiency and computer literacy.
